Can I get permanent makeup if I’ve had a Juvaderm treatment?We recommend receiving permanent makeup first, two weeks after or consulting your Juvaderm specialist for clearance if the treatment was done recently in the area where you’d like to receive permanent makeup.

Can microblading cover an existing eyebrow tattoo?Often, microblading cannot completely hide an existing eyebrow tattoo. However, if the previous tattoo or permanent makeup has faded considerably, it might be possible to consider other treatments. Is microblading recommended for all skin types?Microblading is best suited for normal to dry skin. For those with oily skin or large pores, treatments like Nano Brows, Hybrid Brows, or Powder Brows are better suited.

Eyebrow AftercareFOLLOW THESE AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS & PROTECT YOUR INVESTMENT. FAILURE TO FOLLOW AFTER-CARE INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN INFECTIONS, PIGMENT LOSS/DISCOLORATION AND ARTIST DECLINING OF ALL FUTURE APPOINTMENTS REQUEST. ​ VERY IMPORTANT: ​ Never touch the procedure area without washing your hands immediately before cleaning the area. ​ ​ AFTERCARE KIT: ​ Aftercare kit is provided and is your to keep for both sessions. Only use products provided by us on your freshly new eyebrows and NEVER follow other artists instructions. ​ ​ PROCEDURE DAY: Immediately following your procedure, your technician will apply healing balm in order to protect your freshly opened layer of skin from debris and bacteria while you leave the office. ​ - Gently wipe your brows with water moistened cotton pad every 30 min. for the next 3 hours (this prevents hardening of the lymphatic fluid and avoid heavy scabbing). Don't soak the cotton pad. ​ - Pat dry with a paper towel and apply a rice size amount of the healing balm provided (never apply balm on wet skin). Then repeat this step hourly until bed time. ​ - Prepare your bed with a clean pillow case the first few nights. ​ DAY 2-10: EYEBROWS MUST ONLY BE WASHED IN THE SINK. CLEANSE THEM IN THE AM/PM. ONLY USE PRODUCTS PROVIDED. ​ - Wash your brows using only 1 pump of soap. With your fingertips massage your brows with a very light touch, always in the directions of the hair then cup your hands with cold water and rinse brows away. Pat dry with a paper towel and apply healing balm. Never apply healing balm on wet skin. ​ - Daily blot the face with a tissue paper avoiding the eyebrows 3 times a day if you have normal skin, and 6 times a day for oily skin. DAY 11: ​ - After topic layer of the skin have completely peel off you can go back to wash your brows normally in the shower. ​ - Apply daily Sunscreen SPF 40 or higher directly on top of your new eyebrows to protect the area and aid in the longevity. My favorite brand is SUPERGOOP, UNSEEEN SUNSCREEN SPF 40. ​ Remember to Save the Healing Balm and Gentle Soap from your aftercare kit to use it after your TOP-UP Session. ​ ​ IMPORTANT THINGS TO AVOID FOR 10+ DAYS DURING HEALING PHASE NO EXCEPTIONS! 🚫 DON’T wet your brows for 10 days, except for the recommended morning and evening post care routine provided. Keep showers to 5 minutes, as too much steam can harm your brows. Use water protective visor to shower and to keep products away from your brows. Important to keep face off the shower stream, lather your body from bottom up, at the end of your shower, wash your hair. Don’t trow away the visor, reseal it and use it again. Remember, face should only be washed in the sink for 10 days, NO EXCEPTIONS! When washing your face avoid your eyebrows. You can use a washcloth or disposable wipe to wash and clean face around the brows to ensure no other products are touching the brows. 🚫 DON’T swim or submerge face in fresh, salt, chlorinated water, hot tub, jacuzzi, sauna and avoid steamy showers for 10 days. ​ 🚫 DON’T exercise and avoid intense training for 10 days. Heavy sweating will cause the hair strokes to blur out and details to be lost. ​ 🚫 DON’T have dirt or dust to have contact with your eyebrows and you must avoid gardening for the next 10 days. ​ 🚫 DON’T eat spicy hot foods or drink hot fluids for the next 10 days to prevent sweating. This will push the pigment out. ​ 🚫 DON’T apply any makeup or cosmetics on your brows for 14 days. This will interfere the healing and color of your tattoo. ​ 🚫 DON’T pick/scratch your brows. Allow the scabs/peeled skin to fall off naturally. Picking may lead to loss of pigment and or scarring. ​ 🚫 DON’T use Vaseline, Neosporin or other petroleum based on your brows while healing. Only use products provided by us. ​ 🚫 DON'T bleach, tint , dye, thread, wax or use any hair removal products on brows until treatment is concluded and brows are healed. ​ 🚫 DON’T get any facials, botox, fillers, chemical treatments or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks. Harsh ingredients will irritate the skin, and disrupt the pigment from settling properly. Don’t apply any other products on your brows other than the aftercare provided. ​ 🚫 NO direct sun exposure or tanning for 4 weeks after procedure. Wear a hat when outdoors. ​ IMPORTANT NOTES ABOUT KEEPING YOURSELF HEALTHY: Eat well, get plenty of rest, drink lots of water, avoid smoking and excessive alcohol consumption for the first 24 hours after procedure. The more fatigued you are the lower your immune system is and infection is more likely to occur. PEELING PHASE REFERENCE: ​ ​ ​ The photos provide a zoomed-out view of healing eyebrows, where your can observe very little scabbing falling out. It is crucial to let peeling or scabbing naturally fall out without interfering, scratching, or removing it. ​ ​ WHAT TO EXPECT DAY BY DAY?: Immediately after procedure eyebrow color will look more intense. You may love it, or you may feel like it’s a bit much – either way, that’s not the true shade the pigment will have. Your brows will look 30 - 40% lighter once the 6 weeks have passed and you will be back at the studio for your Top-Up Session. BE VERY PATIENT AND TRUST THE PROCESS. Day 1-5: Your eyebrows will become darker, crispy and filled in looking as they begin to form a scab. Day 6-10: Brows will start to scab off, allow this process to happen naturally. Don’t pick or scratch to prevent scarring or poor retention. ​ Day 11: Top layer of skin should appear sealed, color will fade significantly and sometimes will appear like they are totally gone. Be patient & trust the process. ​ Day 28: Eyebrows will slowly bloom back to the surface as the new milky skin settles in, heals completely and matures over the week 4 and 5. ​ ​ ​ IMPORTANT NOTE: ​ TO PREVENT INFECTION KEEP YOUR HANDS CLEAN AT ALL THE TIMES. VERY IMPORTANT: ​ Never touch the procedure area without washing your hands immediately before touching the area. ​ ​ AFTERCARE KIT: ​ Aftercare kit is provided and is your to keep for both sessions. You can reapply ice again after a 20 min break if needed but do not exceed 20 minutes per icing session. Make sure the ice water does not come in contact with the skin. ​ - Prepare your bed with a clean pillow case and try to sleep slightly elevated for the first few nights to avoid and or reduce swelling. DAY 2-6: EYES MUST ONLY BE WASHED IN THE SINK, IN THE AM AND PM. ONLY USE PRODUCTS PROVIDED. ​ - With a very light touch, use your fingertips to cleanse eyelids with cold water only. Pat dry with a paper towel and apply a thin coat of healing ointment. Never apply healing ointment on wet skin. ​ - Daily blot the face with a tissue paper avoiding the area 3 times a day if you have normal skin, and 6 times a day for oily skin. ​ DAY 7: - After scabs have completely fallen off you can go back to wash your eyes in the shower normally. ​ - Daily apply Sunscreen SPF 35 or higher on your face to protect the skin. IMPORTANT THINGS TO AVOID FOR 10+ DAYS DURING HEALING PHASE: - DON’T wet your eyes for 7 days. Keep showers to 5 mins, as too much steam can harm the treatment. Use water protective visor to shower and to keep products away from your eyes. Keep face off the shower stream, lather your body from bottom up, at the end of your shower, wash your hair. Lip Area AftercareFOLLOW THESE AFTERCARE INSTRUCTIONS & PROTECT YOUR INVESTMENT. FAILURE TO FOLLOW AFTER-CARE INSTRUCTIONS MAY RESULT IN INFECTIONS, PIGMENT LOSS OR DISCOLORATION AND ARTIST DECLINING OF ALL FUTURE APPOINTMENTS REQUEST. ​ If you have ever had a cold sore/fever blister in or around the lips, you must pre treat and complete an anti-viral medication to prevent an outbreak.Please obtain the prescription drug Valtrex with your doctor and take 4 days prior to your procedure and 4 days after. A natural prevention aid is the mineral Lysine at your local health store such as GNC 1000 mg tabs three times a day with food, if you notice diarrhea back off the dose. ​ VERY IMPORTANT: ​ Never touch the procedure area without washing your hands immediately before cleaning the area. ​ ​ AFTERCARE KIT: ​ Aftercare kit is provided and is your to keep for both sessions. Only use products provided by us on your freshly new cosmetic tattoo and NEVER follow other artists instructions. ​ ​ DAILY INSTRUCTIONS: Never touch the procedure area without washing your hands immediately before cleaning the area. ​ DAY 1: Immediately following your procedure, your technician will apply a layer of balm in order to protect your freshly opened layer of skin from debris and bacteria while you leave the office. ​ - Wipe the lips with water moistened cotton pad every 30 min for 3 hours, this prevents hardening of the lymphatic fluid and avoid heavy scabbing. Pat dry and apply healing balm. Never apply balm on wet lips. Then repeat hourly until bed time, follow with a balm. - You can apply ice to minimize the swelling. Make sure the ice water doesn’t come in direct contact with the skin. - Prepare your bed with a clean pillow case and try to sleep slightly elevated for the first few nights to avoid and reduce swelling. DAY 2-6: Always keep a very thing layer of healing balm provided on your lips throughout the day. Gently rinse the treated area with cold water AM/PM and immediately after a meal. Always pat dry with paper towel and reapply healing ointment. After day 7 if scabs have fallen off you can go back to wash your lips in the shower normally. DAY 10: Apply lip balm with sunscreen. You can purchase Aquaphor lip balm sunscreen or your favorite brand. IMPORTANT THINGS TO AVOID 10+ DAYS DURING HEALING PHASE: - If you do get fever blisters do not add any medications to the lip tissue or you can pull the color out of the tissue. - DON’T apply any makeup or cosmetics around or on the lips for 14 days. ​ - Avoid hot steamy showers, cleansing, soap, moisturizer, oil, creams or sunscreen on the treated area for 7 days. - DON’T swim or submerge face in fresh, salt, chlorinated water, hot tub, jacuzzi, sauna and avoid steamy showers for 10 days. - DON’T exercise go intense training for 10 days. Heavy sweating will push pigment out. Moderate training should be fine. - DON’T have dirt or dust to have contact with your eyebrows and you must avoid gardening for the next 10 days. - DON’T lick, bite, pick or scrub the lips, allow it to flake off by itself to avoid disrupting the healing process and or scarring. - DON’T use whitening toothpaste. This can effect the retention and will cause the lips to dry and become temporarily white. - DON’T eat spicy, salty foods or drink anything too hot. They’ll sting. Cut food into small bites to prevent over stretching the lips. - DON'T drink out of a straw and avoid fluids that stain like coffee, wine, sauce sauce and so on to directly touch your lips. - DON’T drink alcohol or smoke. It’ll sting and dry out your lips further. - DON’T get any facials, botox, fillers, chemical treatments or microdermabrasion for 4 weeks. Harsh ingredients will irritate the skin, and disrupt the pigment from settling properly. Don’t apply any other products on your brows other than the aftercare provided. - The hardest part of lip blushing is absolutely no kissing for 7 days. WHAT TO EXPECT: - The color of your lips is very intense. You may love it, or you may feel like it’s too much – either way, that’s not the true shade the pigments will have. The color will fade significantly over the next few days, and your lip tattoo will look 40-50% lighter once the 6 weeks have passed. ​ - The feeling of burning on the tissue is normal and will normally stop in the next 3 days. Bruising on the inside of the lips is normal. On day 2 less swelling, more tenderness and a lot o dryness. Day 3 and 4 lips will have heavy peeling and dryness. Days 5-10 some more minor peeling and color ghosting. Healing can take 2-4 weeks depending on health conditions or fever blisters break out. ​ - Your Top-Up session has been booked 6 weeks from today. This session will be complimentary as long is concluded 6-8 weeks following your first session. If your TOP-UP session is scheduled after 8 weeks, it is no longer complimentary and will incur an additional charge at the customary YEARLY COLOR BOOST rate. If need to reschedule please let us know 7 days in advance so you can avoid rescheduling fee of $200. You must call, leave a voicemail, or send a text to 203-444-6303. If you are 15 minutes late to your appointment, your appointment will be cancelled and you will be charged $200.00 to reschedule. Terms & ConditionsPOLICY TERMS & CONDITIONS Dunia Ghabour Permanent Makeup Studio is an exclusive atelier dedicated to providing the best possible experience. Due to the personalized nature of our treatments, our studio operates by appointment only. This policy ensures we can adequately prepare and reserve the necessary time exclusively for you. We appreciate your understanding and compliance with our policy. ​ ALL BOOKINGS: A non-refundable deposit is required at the time of booking to secure your appointment. This deposit is transferable to reschedule your appointment once, provided we receive a minimum of 7 days notice. It is not transferable to another person. If you cancel your appointment at any time, the deposit is forfeited. The deposit will be deducted from the total cost if you attend your appointment; otherwise, it is non-refundable. Deposits and the remaining balance can be paid by cash, Zelle, or Venmo. Credit card payments incur a 4.5% service fee and 8.875% for products. Prices are subject to change at any time. CONVERSION CLIENTS | COVER UP PREVIOUSLY TATTOOED BROWS: You must send pictures before booking, or you risk not being serviced. This applies to cover-up options for previous work such as microblading, powder brows, or old tattoos. WAITLIST/AFTER-HOURS APPOINTMENTS: We rarely have cancellations or rescheduled appointments. However, if you wish to be added to the waitlist or for after-hours appointments, please call 203-444-6303. ​ APPOINTMENT REMINDER: You will receive email and text message confirmations and reminders, including pre-care instructions, location details, parking information, and our studio policy. Please confirm and follow these instructions in advance out of respect for our clients, artists, and their time. ALL CANCELLATIONS/NO-SHOW, NO-CALL/SAME DAY CANCELLATION/TRANSFER APPOINTMENT TO ANOTHER DATE: We request 7 days notice for cancellations or to transfer the appointment to another date and/or time. However, the deposit is non-refundable. Cancellations within 7 days will result in a penalty of 50% of the service price. An additional deposit will be required to reschedule. No-Show, No-Call, and same-day cancellations will be considered a no-show, and the client will be charged 100% of the service price. We do not provide refunds for canceled or missed appointments. If canceling or rescheduling the same appointment more than once, the client will be subject to cancellation fees or a decline of all future appointment requests. LATENESS: Please arrive on time to avoid unfair delays to other clients. We have a strict no-tolerance policy for late arrivals. Clients arriving over 15 minutes late may forfeit their deposit and have their appointment canceled with a 50% penalty. An additional deposit will be required to reschedule. No exceptions will be made, regardless of unforeseen circumstances. GUESTS AND PROCEDURE AREA: While guests are welcome to stay during consultations, they are not allowed in the procedure room due to the nature of our services. They can relax in the reception area or explore Greenwich Ave, which is a 5-minute walk away. The Ave offers various high-end stores such as Betteridge, Richards, Saks Fifth Ave, Waldorf Boutique, Baccarat, Club Monaco, Zara, Tiffany & Co, Shreve, Crump & Low, Lugano Diamond, Sephora, Le Labo, RH Greenwich, Room & Board, Roche Bobois, RH Baby & Child, LoveSac and many more, as well as numerous coffee shops and restaurants, making it a great place to spend time until your appointment is complete. NO CHILDREN UNDER 18 Children are not allowed in the studio. If you arrive with children, we will kindly ask you to reschedule your appointment. Additionally, please remember to bring a government-issued photo ID. ​ NO USE OF CELL PHONE During the procedure, we kindly ask that you keep your cell phone and electronic devices on silent mode and away from the procedure area. ​ TOP-UP SESSION: After Initial Session, top-up is recommended 6-12 weeks after. Price varies depending on how long ago your last session was. ​ For Signature Packages, a complimentary top-up session is included. This session should be scheduled within 6 to 12 weeks after your initial appointment. You will be provided with an appointment date for your top-up session on the day of your initial session. If the top-up session is scheduled after 12 weeks, it will be considered as a regular session. Price varies depending on how long ago your last session was. ​ ENHANCEMENT SESSION: An enhancement session may be necessary for clients with oily or dark pigmented skin or those who could not follow aftercare instructions. This session can be scheduled 6 weeks after your top-up session and will incur an enhancement session fee. YEARLY COLOR BOOST FOR RETURNING CLIENTS: Timing for color boost sessions is calculated from the date of the last treatment. Clients with oily skin can have a color boost as soon as 6 months, and clients with dry to combination skin are recommended to have a yearly color boost. We only offer color boosts for work done in our salon. PRE-CARE & AFTER-CARE: Clients must follow pre-care and after-care instructions before undergoing a treatment. These steps are crucial to achieving the best healed results. Results will vary from client to client, and we cannot guarantee your results. If you cannot fulfill the proper pre-care and post-care instructions, please plan your appointment for a later date. Improper preparation and care will lead to poor results that we cannot fix, and you will be subjected to cancellation fees or declining of all future appointment requests. BROW TATTOO CORRECTION OR LIGHTENING SESSION FROM OTHER STUDIO/ARTIST: We are extremely selective when working over existing tattoos from other tattoo artists. All previous PMU/tattoos done elsewhere will need approval. Please submit face shot photos to 203-444-6303 or duniaghabour@gmail.com for review. GRATUITIES: Tips usually average 18-25% of the treatment price. These can be given in cash or charged to a credit card. All tips are much appreciated and go directly to your specialist! ALL PERMANENT MAKEUP TREATMENTS: All permanent cosmetic treatments are considered a 2-step appointment process. We recommend scheduling a top-up appointment within 6-12 weeks after your original procedure. HEALED RESULTS: To ensure your permanent makeup heals properly and looks its best, please follow all pre-care and post-care instructions. These instructions are designed to limit bleeding and skin sensitivities during the service. Excessive bleeding during the procedure can dilute and expel the pigment color and lead to poor results. GUARANTEES: Dunia Ghabour Permanent Makeup Studio offers no guarantee for micropigmentation results. Individual results will vary from client to client. Pre-care and aftercare of your micropigmentation and your skin type will directly contribute to your final results. Some clients may require additional touch-ups to achieve their desired results. Regular touch-up pricing will apply. LONG-TERM CARE: Apply sunscreen SPF 40 or higher daily directly on top of your cosmetic tattoo to aid the longevity of the treatment. A yearly touch-up is recommended to keep your cosmetic tattoo looking its best. Do not apply products containing Alpha Hydroxyls (AHA’s), Retin-A, Salicylic, Lactic or Glycolic Acids, Benzoyl Peroxide, Proactiv, or bleaching/lightening creams to the eyebrows. If you are planning a chemical peel, laser procedure, or an MRI scan, inform the technician of your permanent cosmetics. NO REFUNDS/NO EXCHANGE/NO TRANSFERABLE: All treatments, services, and products are non-refundable, non-exchangeable, and non-transferable, especially if services or treatments have been initiated. No exceptions. CONTRAINDICATIONS & LIMITATIONS: - Pregnant or nursing - Diabetic - Undergoing chemotherapy (requires a physician's note) - Viral infections or diseases - Had Botox within 3 weeks of the appointment - Had an organ transplant - Epilepsy - Sick with a cold or flu-like virus - Used Accutane in the last 6 months We may require a doctor's permission to perform treatments on clients with certain pre-existing conditions. How should I prepare for my appointment | Pre CarePERMANENT MAKEUP PRE CARE INSTRUCTIONS: Why Pre-Care Matters: Excessive bleeding during the procedure can affect the results by pushing the pigment out, leading to poor outcomes. To avoid this, please follow the steps below. ​ Day of Treatment: - No one under 18 is allowed in the studio. Please bring a valid photo ID. - Stay focused: Silence your phone and keep it aside during the appointment. - Comfort is key: Wear comfy clothes, and bring a sweater. You can also bring headphones to listen to music or a podcast. Pre-Treatment Prep: - Wash your hair beforehand—this keeps the treated area dry while healing. - Come with a clean face (no makeup or skincare products). - You can take Tylenol 30 minutes before the appointment (optional). 24 Hours Before: - No alcohol or caffeine (including coffee or energy drinks). - No workouts to prevent open pores. - Avoid aspirin or blood thinners like Midol or Excedrin. 72 Hours Before: - Stay out of direct sunlight and avoid getting a sunburn. 4 Days Before: - Avoid tweezing, waxing, or threading to keep your skin calm. 5 Days Before: - Avoid blood-thinning medications like aspirin or fish oil. Tylenol is fine! 10 Days Before: - No Novocaine injections in the treatment area. 2 Weeks Before: - Stop using Retin-A or any vitamin A skincare products near the treatment area. - Avoid lash growth serums if you’re getting eyeliner treatment. - No fillers in the treatment area. 3 Weeks Before: - Avoid chemical peels, dermabrasion, or any intense skin treatments. 4 Weeks Before: - Avoid Botox, fillers, chemical peels, or laser treatments. -Additional Notes: - If you’ve used Retin-A or other medications, please inform us. - We apply a numbing cream to make you comfortable, but taking Tylenol before the treatment is okay if you prefer. - Pain sensitivity may increase during your menstrual cycle. - Continue taking any prescribed pain-relief medications after your treatment as directed. Special Instructions for Lip Blushing: - If you’ve ever had cold sores, contact your doctor for a prescription (Valtrex, Acyclovir, etc.). Start taking it 4 days before and continue 4 days after the procedure. - Bring your favorite lip color if you have one in mind. - Arnica Montana can help reduce bruising and swelling, and it’s safe to take before and after the procedure. Special Instructions for Eyeliner: - Remove eyelash extensions before the appointment. - If you wear contact lenses, take them out and wear glasses instead. - Stop using lash growth serums 2 weeks before your appointment. ​

Do we offer consultation?​ Yes we offer consultations to all prospective clients. We understand the procedure can be daunting and we want to make sure all our clients feel comfortable with their decision. All questions or concerns you might have will be addressed during your consultation. ​ During your consultation, your artist will work with you to discuss your goals, lifestyle, shape of your existing brows and the problem areas you wish to address. Bringing reference photos of your desired brow shape is highly recommended and greatly appreciated. Your specialist will advise and show examples of brow shapes which will work with each clients face shape and brow type.
