SALINE TATTOO REMOVAL

EMERGENCY REMOVAL CAN BE DONE WITHIN 48 HOURS

OF YOUR TREATMENT

If you just had your brows done elsewhere, within the last 48 hours, and are very unhappy with the results then contact us immediately as we can preform emergency removal.

It is preferred to have it done within 24 hours of the procedure to obtain the best results possible. Client's must be realistic in their expectations, Emergency removal will not guarantee that no pigment will heal into the skin but it will lighten it considerably while making it much easier for future saline tattoo removal sessions if necessary.

Not all Brows can be reworked and that is why we found it very important to offer this treatment at the studio. We can also target certain areas around the brow, in case we can rework them but wanted to tweak the shape leaving a bit of the old uncovered.

Please do not attempt removal yourself at home under any circumstances, removal or correction of previous semi-permanent makeup should only be undertaken by a skilled professional. DO NOT try do it yourself "DIY" methods. Wrecking creams, non-professional salt removals and other gimmicks do not work. At home semi permanent makeup options for removal simply are not effective and have big risks attached.

WHAT IS Li-FT REMOVAL?

LI-FT saline pigment and Ink lightning is an efficient and safe method for removing poor quality or old semi permanent makeup. It is gentle on the skin, and does not risk scarring like some other methods.

The procedure is basically an osmosis process and your body's natural healing process. As we go over your old tattoo the solution bonds to the pigment to lift pigment up to the surface. This method of removal decreases the chance of causing lasting damage to your melanocytes (color-producing skin cells), and permanently affecting the integrity of the skin. This type of removal is safer and has fewer risks of hypo or hyperpigmentation, as well as blistering and scarring than laser treatments.

It can benefit those who have had an old permanent cosmetic tattoo procedure, some mistakes as well as remove other blurred, discolored or misshaped eyebrows. The healing time is similar to initial pigmentation. Relatively non-traumatic to the client with little to no downtime. The pigment heals into the scab and as the scab sheds so does the pigment, revealing a lightened tattoo.

WHY SHOULD I CHOOSE IT OVER LASER TATTOO REMOVAL?

Traditionally, this is just as effective as laser tattoo removal. The hypertonic saline inspires skin cells to release pigment and rise to the surface. It is a matter of how many sessions are needed to pull the pigment out completely, than whether or not it is possible. Whether your tattoo is 1 year old or 30 years old, saline removal will get it out. It does not permanently damage the tissue like lasers do, and is more affordable and less painful than laser treatments. Particularly if you plan to cover the area with a new tattoo once healed, saline removal will be in your best interest, as lasers can cause damage that prevents the skin from accepting/holding any new pigment.

WHAT DOES THE AFTERCARE CONSIST OF?

1. KEEP AREA CLEAN and open to the air. Do not cover with a Band-Aid or anything else, leave open to air. Air/oxygen provides good and faster healing. You should not be touching the area at all but if you find yourself needing to please make sure your hands are exceptionally clean.

2. CLEAN BY BLOTTING AREA with saline 3 to 4 times a day using a paper towel or gauze. NO ICE.

3. DO NOT SOAK the treated area in water. You can shower as normal but keep the area out of the shower spray the best you can and do not let the area stay wet for more than a few minutes. It is best to keep it dry but if you do get it wet gently pat dry.

4. NO BATHING, SWIMMING, SAUNAS, HOT TUBS, TANNING, OR EXERCISE. NO EXCEPTIONS.

5. DO NOT disrupt the scabbing process (i.e. no picking, scratching, etc.) All scabbing needs to fall off naturally. If you force or pick a scab off you will disrupt the process and possibly cause scarring. It is critical to keep the scabs on as long as possible to achieve optimum results.

6. TREAT AREA WITH TLC. DO NOT DO ANYTHING AT ALL THAT COULD CAUSE ISSUES OR PROBLEMS TO THE TREATED AREA.

7. ONCE ALL SCABBING HAS NATURALLY FALLEN OFF, apply one drop Vitamin E Oil 3 to 4 times throughout the day for a minimum of 4 weeks, or until next lightening session. DO NOT start applying the Vitamin E oil UNTIL all scabbing has naturally and completely fallen off. It is our goal to keep the area as dry as possible until all scabs have naturally fallen off.

IMPORTANT

It is important to the process and integrity of the skin that 8 full weeks of healing take place before another lightening session can be done. No exceptions Lightening and/or removing unwanted pigment is a long process and patience is required. This is true whether you are choosing a lightening product service or laser. Please be patient and give the process a fair chance to work. Expect visible and wanted results in 2 to 5 sessions. How many sessions needed will depend on how saturated the pigment is, how deep it was implanted and how much needs to be removed for the desired result. In many cases only a percentage of the pigment needs to be lightened/removed and then we can continue the correction process by color correcting or color shifting. In those cases where we have pigment misplaced or in an unwanted area, color correcting will not be an option and removing as much of the pigment as possible will be our ultimate goal. Results cannot be foreseen, predicted or guaranteed. If you have any questions or concerns please call us. If at any time, you have any green or yellow puss in the area of the removal, or any concerns at all during the healing process please call us at 917-291-0588
